SCG Committee at Alford Academy Energy Event on 30th January 2024

The first outing of 2024 for our Schools Career Guidance volunteers took place at Alford Academy for their Energy Event on 30th January. Daniel and Brian were joined by Safer Training who brought their VR headsets - a big hit with pupils! Andy Reid from Safer Training said 'the students enjoyed trying out the VR and there were a few participants that really took the experience and ran with it! The venue was fantastic!' Super-volunteer Brian Crossan added 'Alford are really active in careers and are well ahead of most schools – 97% of pupils go on to what is called a positive placement'. Our volunteers are crucial in supporting these kind of events and allow us to 'Inspire the Next Generation'.
