Well Decommissioning & Late Well Life in the Net Zero Era

Location: 4-5 June 2024, P&J Live, Aberdeen

The Technical Programme is available now!

Well Decommissioning operations continue at pace in the UKCS with expenditure on the rise and activities to increase until 2027.

“Innovation and collaboration have been at the forefront of an energised sector which has firmly established a pivotal role within the energy transition in the UK continental shelf (UKCS) and overseas. Extensive works in emissions reduction during operations, repurposing existing infrastructure for CO2 storage, identifying reuse opportunities during onshore disposal and supporting the offshore wind industry with designing for decommissioning are all setting up the sector with work for decades to come.” (Quote from OEUK 2022 Insights report)

According to the OEUK Business Outlook Report, for the rest of this decade alone, the sector could spend £200 billion in wind, hydrogen, CCUS, and oil and gas projects. This investment is critical to realising a lower carbon energy system.

This well-established conference is in its 13th year and will bring together those specialising in the areas of late life and decommissioning operations from major operators, service companies and regulators to explore Well Decommissioning and Late Well Life in the Net Zero Era.
