SPE Aberdeen and the Big Conversation presents "Why Returners"

Why Returners are a necessary programme to retain experience in the Energy Sector

Location: On Zoom

Join us online on the 24th October when the Big Conversation returns:

"Why Returners" - and why returners are a necessary programme to retain experience in the Energy Sector.

Hear from Anouska Carling, Gypsy Castillo Saluzzo and Kim Sabate.

Gypsy Castillo Saluzzo Harbour Energy Returner

"A year ago I had the most amazing opportunity, something that I thought impossible until Harbour Energy and STEM Returners made it possible, a Returnship. For me it had been 11+years away from my career, from the industry. When I decided to go back that gap was a major obstacle and nothing was happening. Harbour Energy and STEM Returners gave me the chance, they believed in me and valued my experience. Now I'm part of Harbour Energy Family, which makes me feel extremely thankful. I'm enjoying my job, working with great people and taking advantage of every opportunity to learn and continue growing. It feel's great to be back!"

Anouska Carling STEM Returners

Anouska is an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Programme Manager with STEM Returners. She has more than 20 years experience in Engineering recruitment. She works with organisations to help them embed and scale alternative methods that enable them to hire more inclusively, focusing on routes dedicated to career break returners and transferrers. She is a level 6 Chartered Manager in Leading Inclusion and Diversity and Managing Organisational Culture.

Kim Sabate Harbour Energy

Kim Sabate is a dedicated professional with a rich background in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). After her role was made redundant mid-year last year, Kim left her previous company at the end of the year. She then took a well-deserved three-month career break following a medical procedure. During this time, Kim focused on her recovery and personal growth.

In an exciting turn of events, Harbour Energy approached Kim with an opportunity to join their global DE&I team. Recognising her expertise and passion. Kim is leveraging her skills and experiences to drive impactful DE&I initiatives at Harbour Energy, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
