DEVEX 2023

20-21 June 2023

Location: P&J Live, Aberdeen

DEVEX 2023 marks the 20th DEVEX Conference and it is the only technical conference of its size which is focused on the full E&P project cycle; from exploration, appraisal, development and production (early, mid and late life) through to CCUS and decommissioning.

Energy Security and Sustainability is one of the key challenges facing society today. The conference will consider this subject and ask the industry: “What are we doing to accelerate projects, reduce costs, increase production and reduce emissions?”

DEVEX 2023 will be a platform to share ideas and lessons learned that have led to material gains and optimised performance; ultimately driving increased energy security and sustainability. This will be delivered via a series of keynotes, case histories, techbytes, masterclasses and networking sessions.

The Technical programme can be downloaded by clicking above

DEVEX FIELD TRIP – 19th JUNE

This year’s trip will be a full-day excursion to the Angus Coast, to view world class outcrops of Early & Late Devonian age continental clastics.

The trip is an excellent opportunity to study ‘red bed’ reservoir architecture and heterogeneity, to examine non-marine seal rocks, and to develop a deeper understanding of the impact faults and fractures can have on fluid flow in these reservoir types; all of which are key to both hydrocarbon field development and carbon storage projects.

It will also be a chance to share views on the pace of the Energy Transition in the shadow of the Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm, Scotland’s largest, and the world's deepest, fixed foundation offshore wind farm whose 114 turbines are scheduled to provide enough green energy to power more than 1.6 million homes by the Summer of 2023.

The trip will be led by Steve Adams of Balgownie Geoscience. Steve has over 35 years of global upstream subsurface experience and over the past three years has visited over 200 Scottish East Coast outcrops to develop an in-depth understanding of #ScotlandsGeoLab, and the way these outcrops can support hydrocarbon, carbon storage, and geothermal projects.

Just 20 spaces are available - book now! Click on the 'Buy Tickets' button.

DEVEX YOUNG PROFESSIONALS EVENT – 20TH JUNE

The theme for this year’s YP Event is Energy Security in a Mature North Sea Basin and is not to be missed. We will have fantastic keynotes and mentors sharing advice, lessons learned and knowledge. The flier can be downloaded above.

This will be a free event for YPs. Bookings open now. Click on the 'Buy Tickets' button.

Early Professionals ticket offer.

Buy 1 ticket, invite an Early Career Professional for FREE!
We are offering you the chance to invite an Early Career Professional
( ≤10 years in industry) to attend the conference for FREE!
For every full price ticket purchased, you may add an additional ticket of the same type for no additional cost. Select your ticket type and you will then be given the chance to add the free ticket option before checkout. This is your chance to support our future generation and inspire knowledge sharing.

SPONSORSHIP AND EXHIBITION SPACE

SPE Aberdeen, PESGB and AFES are not for profit organisations. Raising sponsorship is crucial to help us to reduce the ticket cost and maximise attendance, deliver a successful conference and to enable the organising charities to re-invest back into industry and society. By supporting this event, not only are you providing an important knowledge sharing and training opportunity for the industry, but you are also helping to support our future generation of young engineers and geoscientists.

We will have a limited number of exhibition stand spaces available. There will be ample opportunity for maximum interaction between exhibitors and delegates during the registration period, coffee breaks and during lunch.
