Chris Robson

Getting it Right - we are all learning.

The session is designed to be an accessible introduction to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and it will cover what DEI is, why it is important, and some key concepts. DEI can polarise people, it can seem inaccessible or scary, some don't see the value of engaging with it, or believe it's better that others engage with it; this session is designed to help tackle those challenges. We ALL have a vital part to play in shaping a brighter future for everyone!

Chris is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) champion, leadership coach and Human Resource Development (HRD) manager. His academic background is in Geoscience, with a 1st class Master’s from Royal Holloway and 10 years as a professional geoscientist in industry; primarily focussed on paleoclimate modelling. Within recent years he made a career switch into HR, as a Human Resource Development Manager, and his passion is DEI and driving progressive cultural change. Chris was elected as an ally on to the Global employee resource group (ERG) boards for women and the LGBTQ+ community, won the women’s ERG allyship award in 2023, delivers regular training on topics such as unconscious bias, has written numerous DEI focussed articles and has facilitated DEI workshops. He believes strongly in laying robust foundations for cultural change; to help bring everyone along on the journey together and deliver sustainable progress to the benefit of all.
